UK Troops Face Torture Charges (Again)

UK troops torturing and screaming at Iraqi civilians
It's amazing how war in the Middle East has turned US and UK soldiers into inhumane dogs. Cute, no? These torturing bastards are at it again, but this time - like always - they've been caught years to late once the damage is all done and dusted. What little justice can be done will be applied with a gentle slap on the wrist and perhaps an earlier bedtime. PressTV reported the following:

The Iraq Historic Allegations Team (IHAT) has already pinpointed more than 100 suspects of such crimes among former members of the British armed forces and the serving troops, The Telegraph reported.

However, hundreds more are expected to be added to the list of suspects over the next 12 months as IHAT is to reexamine the evidence from two separate inquiries into war crimes in Iraq including the al-Sweady inquiry.

The al-Sweady investigations have already identified more than 500 British forces who should answer questions on war crimes allegations while the suspects are also expected to be interviewed by IHAT interrogators.

The incidents of abuse in question go back mainly to the ones that happened between 2003 and 2008, including the so-called Battle of Danny Boy in 2004, when British troops arrested hundreds of Iraqi civilians over allegations that they were linked to militia groups.

While many of the cases against the British soldiers are based on evidence from individual Iraqis some of the soldiers face serious charges including those around the vicious murder of hotel worker Baha Mousa who suffered at least 93 injuries at the hands of his British interrogators prior to his death.

The torture and abuse after the Battle of Danny Boy and the violent interrogations at the Shaibah detention center in Basra are other centerpieces of the investigations
.

How long will it be before we start charging these bastards for their sick crimes? The inhumanity of war itself is handing troubled young men guns, sending them away to foreign lands and training them to think that other humans are, in fact, the enemy. The propaganda sets in so deep that torture stories within the army aren't a shock any more: just another exploit of a list of crimes.

The last time we saw this sort of thing was when America's supposed "kill teams" were found posing with dead corpses as well as images of US troops pissing on the bodies.

Andrew Holmes, Michael Wagnon, Jeremy Morlock and Adam Winfield
The four mugs above are the four who faced murder charges for said photos and actions. But is this really where our money is going? The taxpayer is handing over their money to a military machine exploiting young people and allowing them to commit such acts under the radar. Is this the war which is supposedly in the name of the Iraqi people's freedom?

How long will it be before a system is established to route out the rats in the shit pile? Or rather how long will it be before this war without reason is finally over?
